Erin LaPointe

Assistant Coach: 16 Mizuno
Having moved around quite a bit, Erin has been a part of the volleyball scene in many ways – playing in the DPL at St. Marks, a season at Ursuline, 3 years of varsity for Walker High School in Atlanta, GA, 4 seasons with the club Cobb Atlanta Juniors and then worked for and traveled with the volleyball team at Miami University in Ohio where she earned her degree in Urban Design. When Erin returned to Dallas in 2008 to work for TXU Energy, she started coaching at Nitro and coached 6th grade volleyball at Parish Episcopal. This will be her 5th season with the club.

Darren Teicher

Head Coach: 13 Molten
Darren is in his 9th year with the SNVC family. He has qualified twice in the open division and twice at the national division. He qualified both open teams at the Northern Lights Qualifier, once with a 3rd place finish. He is also entering his 6th year as the Head Coach at St. Marks School of Dallas. In his second season at the school, the team won an SPC title which is the equivalent of a state title for public schools. His St. Marks team is also back to winners of the title in 2014/2015.  Prior to coaching at St. Marks, Darren spent 3 years at the Episcopal School of Dallas where he was an Assistant Coach for the Varsity team.  In his 3rd season, they won an SPC title as well. Before moving to Dallas, Darren was an Assistant Coach at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. While coaching there, he also spent time coaching for Austin Juniors Volleyball Club.  He qualified once at the National Invitational level. As a player in his younger years, he spent 2 years at Columbia College in Columbia, MO.  In those 2 years, the team was the National runner-up in 1999 and the National Champions in 2000.  Much of his coaching knowledge was learned under the guidance of then coaches Wayne and Susan Kreklow.  They are now the co-head coaches at the University of Missouri.

Sharhonda Conner

Head Coach: 12 Blue
Originally from Port Arthur, TX, Sharhonda attended Texas A&M University in College Station and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. While at A&M she was a 4 year member of the Corps of Cadets military ROTC program where she competed in Corps level intramurals such as flag football, softball, and volleyball, in addition to holding leadership positions of scholastic corporal, battalion recruiting sergeant, and senior chaplain. She was also actively involved with Dance Arts Society, Sigma Phi Lambda Christian Sorority, and founded Aggie Coaches and Kinesiology Teachers. She is an active member of Watermark Community Church, leading in the children's ministry, and participates in 5K races, camp gladiator boot camps and volleyball and softball leagues. This is Sharhonda’s 9th year of teaching and coaching. She began by teaching elementary PE and coaching with Skyhawks summer sports camps, before moving into junior high. She spent 2 years in Duncanville ISD teaching junior high PE and coaching volleyball and track, and 5 years with Wylie ISD teaching science and coaching volleyball, basketball, and track. She currently coaches the volleyball and basketball freshman A teams at Richardson High School and teaches elementary PE. This is her 8th year at SNVC and has coached various ages and levels of teams.  She is CAP I certified and working towards CAP II

Teri Minnis


Teri Minnis returns to the Summit Volleyball Club coaching staff for her third season with the club, where she will be serving as the head coach for Summit 14 Asics Teri. Prior to Summit, she was with Dallas Premier as the assistant coach for the Premier team that achieved many successes during their two year run as 17’s and 18’s. The team finished 3rd in the Open Division at Nationals as 17’s, and also won the Lone Star National Qualifier. As 18’s, the team finished the season undefeated by any club team in the state of Texas, had an overall record of 59-4, won the Tour of Texas, won the Northern Lights National Qualifier and again won the Lone Star National Qualifier prior to competing in the 18 Open Division at Nationals.

She has been coaching for 13 years overall, and she has worked with the 14, 15, 17 & 18 USAV age groups. Her club coaching experience also includes two years with Alamo Volleyball Club in San Antonio, TX. She is currently the head coach at Plano Senior High School (TX).. She was previously the head coach at Little Elm High School (TX) for 3 years. Prior to Little Elm, she was an assistant coach at Frisco Centennial High School (TX) for two seasons. Before her arrival in the Dallas area, she coached for three years at the NCAA Division I collegiate level, having served as a student-assistant coach at the University of Texas-San Antonio (UTSA)(TX), an assistant coach at Centenary College (LA) and Appalachian State University (NC).

An accomplished player as well, her 10 year playing career includes her high school days as a middle blocker at Carthage High School (TX). Her accomplishments as a prep player led to earning a full athletic scholarship at UTSA. During her successful volleyball career at UTSA, she was an All-Conference selection as a middle blocker and a 4 year letter winner.

In addition to her head coaching duties at Plano Senior High School, Teri is also a PE Instructor. She resides in Plano, TX with her husband Mike, who is the Executive Assistant at Summit-Nitro Volleyball Club.

Jeff Wigley

Two years coaching boy's varsity volleyball at San Marcos High School in San Diego. The second season we made the playoffs for the first time in school history. Two years coaching boys club volleyball in San Diego One-year coaching 8th grade girl's volleyball at Utley middle school in Rockwall. Two years coaching middle school girl's volleyball at the Hillcrest academy. Eleven years of coaching the high school varsity and junior varsity girl's volleyball at the Shelton School. Three years of coaching and directing Dallas Impact Volleyball Club. 26 years of overall experience in coaching Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Softball and Track and Field. 19 years of teaching experience. Jeff is also Impact, Cap I and Cap II Certified.
