Heather started playing volleyball in middle school, then continued playing high school and club volleyball in Colorado, where she helped lead her high school team to a state championship and a ranking of 12th in the nation. She was an all-state pick, team captain, and MVP. She also helped her club teams to a 5th place finish in her 16’s season and a silver medal in her final season of 18’s at junior nationals. Heather received a full scholarship to Virginia Tech where she was the starting outside for four years and earned all-conference her final three seasons. She helped her team to a conference championship her junior year and finished with a school record in digs and second all-time in kills. As an adult, Heather competed on several national women’s teams, taking second place at women’s nationals. When she moved to Texas, she started coaching club volleyball and was the varsity coach for Episcopal School of Dallas for several years. For the past 20 years, Heather has been coaching club teams of all ages. At her previous club she was coaching director, where she ran the camps and clinics and helped guide new coaches. She has coached several top 20 teams in the North Texas region. Heather started playing sand doubles volleyball when she was sixteen. She played for the next 12 years, competing at a national level in women’s and coed doubles. She had numerous top 3 finishes throughout her doubles career. She also coached sand volleyball for Blackhawks volleyball club and Power volleyball club.
