Darren is in his 9th year with the SNVC family. He has qualified twice in the open division and twice at the national division. He qualified both open teams at the Northern Lights Qualifier, once with a 3rd place finish. He is also entering his 6th year as the Head Coach at St. Marks School of Dallas. In his second season at the school, the team won an SPC title which is the equivalent of a state title for public schools. His St. Marks team is also back to winners of the title in 2014/2015.  Prior to coaching at St. Marks, Darren spent 3 years at the Episcopal School of Dallas where he was an Assistant Coach for the Varsity team.  In his 3rd season, they won an SPC title as well. Before moving to Dallas, Darren was an Assistant Coach at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. While coaching there, he also spent time coaching for Austin Juniors Volleyball Club.  He qualified once at the National Invitational level. As a player in his younger years, he spent 2 years at Columbia College in Columbia, MO.  In those 2 years, the team was the National runner-up in 1999 and the National Champions in 2000.  Much of his coaching knowledge was learned under the guidance of then coaches Wayne and Susan Kreklow.  They are now the co-head coaches at the University of Missouri.
